By Derrick Penner, The Vancouver Sun

METRO VANCOUVER – The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has made an arrest in the Thursday night murder of a 35-year-old man at a gas station on Town Line Road in Abbotsford.

In a news release issued this morning, Sgt. Stephanie Ashton said police have arrested 30-year-old Abbotsford resident Thavone Junior Carlson, who faces a charge of second degree murder in the incident. He was remanded into custody pending a court appearance later today in Abbotsford.

The charge stems from an incident Thursday evening around 9:30 p.m. The victim, 35-year-old Trevor Johnson, met the suspect at the gas station, a fight broke out and Johnson was allegedly stabbed.

He was rushed to hospital but died a short time later.
