Shekhar Kapur to helm fantasy movie ‘Tiger’s Curse’

Shekhar Kapur, who came into limelight with his movie ‘Elizabeth’, will now be directing a fantasy movie titled ‘Tiger’s Curse’.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lotus Entertainment will produce and introduce the film to foreign buyers at American Film Market (AFM).
The film is based on the first in a series of bestselling novels by Colleen Houck.
The movie will revolve around on a teenage girl who, while working at a circus, meets a white tiger named Ren whose true identity is a prince under a 300-year curse. The duo team up to unravel a prophecy that might be the key to breaking the curse.

The script is penned by Julie Plec, who co-developed ‘The Vampire Diaries’.
