UPDATE – Stabbing at secondary school

Surrey RCMP advises that the suspect involved in a stabbing incident at a secondary school yesterday was taken into custody a few hours after the incident.

At approximately 4:30pm, the 17 year suspect was arrested without incident at his residence and will be appearing in court later today. Charges of Assault causing bodily harm are being recommended. The 18 year old victim is recovering in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Surrey RCMP’s General Investigations Unit and Youth Section continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
