Though it may not be quite the same as past holidays, this Easter, Passover or any other event can still be filled with love, fun and celebration while we keep things safe for ourselves and each other.
With Easter, Passover and other celebrations hopping up on us next month and beyond, people need to stay vigilant with our COVID-19 protocols.
Though everyone knows that things need to be done differently these days, that doesn’t mean people can’t continue to enjoy tradition.
Museum of Surrey is hosting Easter-themed visits on the weekend.
Select Surrey Recreation Centres will also open during the Easter long weekend, with limited programming and hours. Pre-registration is required for all in-person activities.
Connect Outside
As per the latest provincial health orders, people are able to now gather outdoors in groups of up to 10 people. However, these need to be the same consistent group of 10, do not gather with several groups of new people. Please continue to maintain a physical distance of at least 2 metres (6 feet) from others.
Parks are the perfect place to connect outdoors with your bubble this Easter.
So be sure to look for goodies close to home and then share your finds and excitement through text or your favourite social media channels.
Most importantly, don’t forget about the people in your life who may be feeling extra isolated this holiday. Reach out to them for a chat whether by phone, text, email or video. You could even have some special groceries or a meal delivered to their home to let them know they are in your thoughts.
