Husband charged after woman found dead in Surrey home

A woman was found dead inside a Surrey home on Sunday and her husband has now been charged with her murder.

Surrey RCMP say the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team were called to a home in the 6900 block of 152nd Street in southeast Newton, where the woman was found.

Harbans Pandher has now been charged with the 2nd degree murder of his wife, 64-year-old Jaswant Pandher.

“As this investigation is early the motive appears unclear but evidence thus far suggests this to be domestic related,” said IHIT Staff Sgt. Jennifer Pound in a statement.

Reports say witnesses saw a girl run outside yelling for help, claiming her grandmother had been killed.
