Surrey: A student was stabbed multiple times at secondary school in Newton, on Thursday afternoon.
Surrey RCMP is investigating a stabbing that occurred shortly after 2:00pm on Thursday at Princess Margaret Secondary school located in the 12800 block of 72nd Avenue.
A male student has been transported to local area hospital with multiple stab wounds to his back. The extent of his injuries is unknown. The male suspect fled the school on foot. Officers have identified the suspect as a student and are actively searching for him.
The knife used in the commission of the offence has been retrieved by police. At this early stage of this investigation, the relationship between the victim and the suspect is unknown.
